From Brush to Pen: Poetry inspired by the London Borough of Sutton Art Collection
This co-curated exhibition features poems by Honeywood Museum volunteer Yolanda Solari, in response to artworks from the Borough’s collection. The poetry was created by exploring the questions and feelings each artwork evoked in the writer and will be shown alongside the original pieces in the display. Works by popular local artists feature, such as Frank Dickinson and Horace Mann Livens, and Yolanda has also created responses to some of the artworks permanently on display at the museum. A celebration of local creative talent, past and present, the exhibition launches as part of Carshalton Artist Open Studio 2026.

Inspired by Frank Dickinson's Art Nouveau-style metalwork and nature-themed interiors, participants will first explore the house to gather ideas. They will then head to the garden for a hands-on session creating their own embossed designs. Suitable for ages 8+ (all children must be accompanied by an adult).

The annual family focused Garden Party with lots for families to get involved with, all based around the idea of ecology and sustainability. There will be refreshments, music including two choirs, children's crafts, games and activities, face painting and a plant stall. Also, they have a fabulous story teller Andy Copps hosting two sessions based around nature stories.
All money raised goes towards supporting Sutton's Ecology Centre which is the main resource for environmental education in the borough.

Carshalton Festival Fringe is an exciting celebration of theatre and new writing by young people. A six-hour showcase of theatre, stand-up and spoken word featuring 2026 BRIT School graduates. Over the course of the day, there will be a diverse array of excellent acts performing in the Cryer Arts marquee - expect fresh solo pieces, short plays, new experimental work, stand-up routines and an all-around vibrant creativity the whole day through.
